Golden High School drumline a performance group

According to GHS Demon Drumline coach Jake Euler, the group this year is a non-competitive unit designed to give as many students as possible exposure to the drumline environment and also designed to entertain the crowd.

Euler said, "These kids are performers. If they don't feel that way now, they will by the end of the season!"

Euler said Golden High School does not have a marching band. Because of this, the drumline that has survived the marching band has much more freedom.

"We perform at every home varsity football game. The big event for these kids is Homecoming. The drumline will be performing at the Homecoming assembly, the homecoming game, and also be putting on their own show in the Theater on October 9."

The stage show will be the crowning achievement for the kids and will be based around the broadway hit "STOMP." It will be titled "G.H.O.S.T." (This stands for Golden's High Octane Stage Takeover.) The show starts at 7 and tickets will be $5.

This kind of drumline is a very unique organization for any high school in the state. In addition, the drumline has more than tripled in size since last year, making it by far the fastest growing extra-curricular activity at GHS. (Last year, there were seven kids in the drumline. Now, there are 23.
