Citizens, police recognized

The Golden Police Department recognized 18 employees and private citizens for their accomplishments in 2007 at its annual awards banquet Feb. 6 at the Golden Community Center.

Two citizens received awards: Teri Melton was recognized for her assistance giving lifesaving CPR to a collapsed co-worker, and Kenneth Kuck was recognized for assisting an officer with subduing a combative suspect.

The night was capped off with the presentation of the Employee of the Year award, which was given to Administrative Assistant Jodie Marquez, who has been with the department for five years. Other award recipients include:
