How's your hydrant?

West Metro firefighters ask homeowners for their assistance in digging out the fire hydrants in your neighborhoods or near your homes. With the recent snow storms fire hydrants are being buried under several feet of snow causing fire fighters to spend precious minutes locating and digging out fire hydrants during a fire. For each additional 60 seconds that it takes to get water to the fire it can double in size and greatly increase the amount of damage to your home.
