Web Survey To Help Determine Colorado Teen Driving Habits
www.aaa.com/teens
Denver -In a recent national survey conducted by
AAA, 46 percent of teens admitted to text messaging while driving, and 51
percent admitted to talking on their cell phone while driving.
What about Colorado? Are teens in Colorado as prone to text messaging or
engaging in other distracted driving habits, as they appear to be
nationally?
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and its traffic safety partners?
AAA/Colorado, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the
Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association (RMIIA), hope to find out
with a new online anonymous survey that they are sponsoring --

The teen driving safety advocates pointed out that the more teen drivers
who take this survey, the more accurate a picture they hope they can get of
teen driving behaviors in Colorado. It is their hope that the survey will
help them to create more targeted and effective educational messages about
driving safety.
Survey participants who register can win a new Dell XPS laptop computer and
100 registered survey participants will randomly be chosen to receive a $10
gift certificate provided by Beau Jo's Colorado Style Pizza.
The online survey can be found at
www.aaa.com/teens until September 21. A
downloadable informational flyer, as well as the drawing's rules and
details can be found at the same website address. The results of the survey
will be announced this fall.
