Detour signs were hard to miss on March 20 as construction, or rather destruction began for the Washington Ave. bridge in Golden.
Norm Chiles, public information officer for Hamon Construction said the phase-one deck demolition has taken place.
"We had quite a bit of stuff going on March 20. It takes a day or two to clean up and get ready for work down below."
Chiles said during the week of March 24 the plan was to get ready to drill caissons.
