Mines Homecoming Channels the Flintstones
Contributed by: Cameron Bell on 10/9/2006

Colorado School of Mines went prehistoric on the weekend of Oct. 7-8 during its annual homecoming celebration. On Oct. 7, cavemen and cavewomen paraded down Washington Avenue on floats depicting barren lands and dinosaur friends, shouting this year's theme: "Yabba Dabba Mu!"

That afternoon, the Orediggers football team played tough against the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys, but lost in the last seconds of the game, 19 - 16. Halftime saw the band performing a field show and the crowning of Queen and Beast.

Mu is the 12th letter of the Greek alphabet whose symbol represents many functions within measurement, mathematics and physics.
