Kids try their 'hands' at breaking boards for MDA
Contributed by: Dana Strongin on 8/10/2007

Area residents recently broke boards with their hands and feet, all in honor of a good cause.

About 30 people broke boards at the Action Family ATA Taekwondo studio in Golden. To support their endeavor, friends and family donated money, and other participants paid for a board.

Money raised totaled about $4,200, which will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Proceeds will help fund regional MDA clinics, support MDA's worldwide research program, send children and young adults to summer camp and provide medical equipment to the 1,500 families served by MDA in Colorado.
