My boyfriend,
Tylar
, and I have been together for nearly four years now and I am writing this entry for him. Tylar has been through a great deal in the past four years, including a number of close passings and several rough starts. However, he has never ceased to persevere, look forward, and now he is at the beginning of a fantastic new career and future.
His father,
Mike
, who meant the world to him, passed away a little over three years ago when he was only 19 years old. Mike passed waiting to receive an organ transplant. It was a tremendous struggle for both his father and him, but it unfortunately resulted in his father's quick decent. It is a truly terrible ordeal to see such an event in one's life take place and be so helpless to prevent it.
But, I know that Mike would be proud to see how his son has handled life since his passing. Tylar and his father shared a strong bond through sports, mainly baseball. It is America's pastime, but it is also a pastime of this father and son. Mike coached his little league teams throughout school and it became a tradition to attend Rockies games with his family every season. We have not really gone since his father's passing and I know it would mean so very much to him to go.
I want Tylar to win these tickets because I want him to share the game with those who love him dearly and in remembrance of those he has lost. I know that wherever he goes his father will be there, but I definitely know he wouldn't miss that game for anything. Thank you for your time and please never hesitate to become an organ donor.
