Nice guys finish first sometimes too!

Dear Colorado Rockies,

I believe that my circle of friends and I deserve to win a Rockies Suite because we always step up to the plate whenever needed in our community!

When we found out that a local senior citizen was really struggling and worried about being able to pay for her husband's funeral. Money was quickly put together and forwarded to her. In her thank you note she called it "truly manna from heaven."

When our local school district announced that they were going to have to cut $75,000 from their budget for next year in order to make it balance. Several of us got together and decided to do what we could to raise the money....we were able to raise the money and help balance the budget.

We created a program in our City call the Central City Promise Program in which we pledge up $5,000 at year to help our high school graduates go on to college. Helping them secure a brighter future. This program also has avenues for adults and senior citizens in the community to receive financial help when needed.

My circle of friends include elected officials, non-profit board members, members of the local PTA, Little League Officers, and countless volunteers. Great people doing great things simple to help make the community in which we live better. I can honestly say I am so proud to call them my friends.

We are what helps make America great! I think it would be only fitting to reward such outstanding personal character with a Rockies Suite for the day. In doing so, you would be proving that even nice guys finish first sometimes too!
