Reader says smokers should exercise
Contributed by: Helen Davis on 1/12/2007

Editor's note: This letter is in response to another letter posted by Colleen Suave, who was taken to court over a smoking issue in her condo complex in Golden. To read Suave's letter, click here.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Suave,

You are putting so much emphasis on smoking -- thinking someone will say to you "poor souls." You just want to smoke. No sympathy here.

I saw your pathetic opinion. Well, what about walking on the Golden river walk? You need exercise. When you see yourself huff and puff because you can't walk, you could have a stroke or heart attack.

You could change your mind about narrow minded smoking! You seem so concerned. Keep your jobs and live long enough to learn there is something more to life than sucking on cigarettes. Exercise is your key. Otherwise, move to an acreage north of Golden and pollute the heck out of the birds.

When you dwell on smoking, cause trouble with you neighbors, remember one thing, Rodger, Dr. Phil always says "When mama's not happy, the whole household is unhappy." Do you remember?

So however you figure it, don't let madness drive you from your jobs. This is right on the verge of this. Make mama walk with you on the river walk. It will give her a change of scenery and perhaps she will enjoy it!

Most people do not make trouble, nor enjoy it. So move on with your souls and find peace and harmony. North of Golden is your answer. Your co-workers are tired of hearing about your episodes. Keep your jobs and start walking.
