Don Parker walks the walk
Contributed by: Jen White on 10/10/2007

I am writing to urge voters to support Don Parker for Golden City Council.

Don brings substantial academic credits, private and public sector work experience and clear dedication to the interests of Golden. His education includes a master's in environmental engineering and a doctorate of law degree. Don Parker's background includes work experience from farm hand to environmental consultant to EPA lawyer. He understands pressures on private business as well as the structure of government.

Don has committed substantial energy and time to the city by spearheading the voter-approved, developer subsidy amendment, co-founding the group that provides movies in the park, working on the Jefferson County open space advisory committee and co-founding Save the Mesas. He supports the 1% growth cap, will defend Golden against high-speed beltways and will consistently work to ensure citizen money is spent in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Don't be fooled by yard signs. The reason you see no yard signs for Don is that he cares enough about how resources are used and money is spent that he has chosen not to fill our landfills with signs for his campaign. That's walking the walk.

If you want a leader that is fair, compassionate, and clearly qualified, cast your vote in confidence for Don Parker for City Council.

Sincerely, Jen White
Golden, CO
