Rush Limbaugh has made headlines for his "Operation Chaos," encouraging Republicans to cross party lines and vote for Sen. Clinton to extend the Democratic primary in hope of causing dissention.
Some have even ventured to say that upwards of seven percent of the Indiana vote can be attributed to Republicans voting as democrats to extend the Democratic Primary.
What can we say other than what a shame that Americans have resorted to fixing primary elections. Where is the faith in the system?
Operation Chaos is a scar on the face of American politics, supported by some and not condemned by enough.
Our system is based on the will of the people. In this case the system is based on the will of supporters of an ideology and to allow for opposing factions to use their voice to sway the outcome is to destroy the ideals of America.
While you may not agree with one party's ideas, it is our right to address those grievances through our elected officials and to put in a position of authority those who support our beliefs.
The system was not put in place to allow those who choose one set of actions the opportunity to dilute the opinions of their opposition by pretending to believe in their cause only to cause it destruction.
True Patriotism and true belief America is that we believe we have the opportunity to govern ourselves by the will of the majority. You have every right to disagree and to question those in authority but you have no right to turn a blind eye to the process and a deaf ear to the majority. This is a government of the people by the people and for the people.
Who are Mr. Limbaugh and his cohorts to dismiss the will of the majority because it does not suit their agenda? If your cause is not strong enough to create the change you desire, then it is not the will of the majority. It is not your place to affect the decisions of the majority through lies and deceit.
This idea of Operation Chaos and causing issues at the Democratic Convention are nothing short of the whinings of a few who do not wish to honor the will of the people.
Those who do not honor the will of the people are a long list of tyrants who do not support the ideals of peaceful exchange power based on free elections.
It is sad that Republicans had the opportunity to name their own candidate who stands for their ideals and they have chosen Senator McCain. Not sad because they choose a candidate in Senator McCain who is an honorable man who has served his country to his fullest and continues to serve and protect that which his electorate stands for, but sad in that those who would choose him do not believe in his full ability to represent them.
Unfortunately, what Senator
McCain stands for is no longer the will of the majority. Senators
Obama and Clinton are the new ideals that America wishes to return to and we do not need to fight their efforts.
Let America choose her own path to the future, be it for gain or destruction. We have set our course by the will of the people and the people will speak, but let them speak with loud Patriotism and faith in America uncluttered by the overtones of lies.
