Editor's note: We asked readers to tell us why they deserved to win a suite for 16 people at a Colorado Avalanche game. Here is what one reader wrote:

My Mom turned 80 this month and her health has been failing for the last couple of years.  In recent years with time on her hands, she has become an avid Denver sports supporter and never misses any of the broadcasted games if she can help it.  My husband and I have tried several times to take her to a variety of sporting events but she is always worried about the cost and, due to her oxygen tank, the inconvenience to others as she tries to get to her seat.  She would be thrilled to have a box suite and be surrounded by her family as she watched her first live sporting event.  My Mom has given unselfishly for her entire life and will never let us do the things we would like to do for her but how could she turn down a box suite to see the Avalanche!
