The Colorado School of Mines men's cross country team had three individuals named to the 2007 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Cross Country Team.
It was announced Feb. by the USTFCCCA that Mines had three individuals earn All-Academic honors after their performances on and off the course in cross country.
Aaron Swift,
Clifton Oertli and
Sean Cusick all were named to the 2007 All-Academic team. To qualify for such honors, the student-athlete must have completed 24 semester hours and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The athlete must also finish in the top 30 percent of individual participants at their respective regional cross country championships.
All three runners were members of this seasons seventh place national team finish. Swift finished 50th at the Division II Nationals and holds a GPA of 3.899 while Oertli earned All-Region honors in 2007 and had a GPA of 3.6 and Sean Cusick finished 43rd at the Regional meet and holds a GPA of 3.297.
