Colorado School of Mines' Emily Dalton and Kyle Pape have been named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) 2008-09 Preseason All-East Division Team. Pape was also a Preseason First Team All-RMAC selection.

A team captain, Dalton led CSM and was ranked 10th in the conference in scoring (13.9 ppg). Her 402 points scored during the 2007-08 season marks the sixth-highest single-season total in program history. Dalton, who also led the Orediggers in field goal percentage (.487) and total rebounds (169), finished second on the squad in rebounds per game (5.8), assists (48) and steals (32) last winter. As a freshman, Dalton appeared in 28 games (25 starts) and ranked second on the team in scoring (9.7 ppg) and points scored (271) and third in rebounds per game (4.9), assists (31) and steals (27). Dalton shot .527 from the field and .778 from the free throw line during her first season in an Oredigger uniform.

Pape, a 6-0, 190-lb. senior guard from Honolulu, Hawaii (Iolani High School), was the only player to start all 29 games last season for CSM. A unanimous First Team All-RMAC East Division selection last season, Pape led Mines and was second in the RMAC in scoring (20.9 ppg). He also led the squad and was third in the conference in free throw percentage (.891). He scored 20-or-more points on 21 occasions and reached double figures in 27 of 29 games. As a sophomore, Pape was a Second Team All-RMAC East Division selection as the second-leading scorer for the Orediggers (13.7 ppg). He led the team in field goals made (125), three-point field goals made (62), free throw percentage (.776), points (371), assists (82) and steals (26). In his first year at Mines (2005-06), Pape earned RMAC Freshman of the Year and Division II Bulletin All-Freshman Team honors while leading CSM in scoring at 14.2 ppg.

The CSM men's and women's teams were both picked to finish fourth in the East Division in the 2008-09 RMAC Preseason Poll. The women were picked to finish seventh overall while the men were picked to finish ninth overall.
