The Golden High School boys soccer team made it to the semifinals in 4A soccer this year. Coached by Chad Reid, the game against Liberty at Englewood on Nov. 4 proved to be the last stop. The team went scoreless against Liberty with a final score of 2-0.

Liberty followed their game against Golden by beating Broomfield in the finals. According to Golden High School teacher Bill Kelley, "The Demons were 2-0 in the first half, and they played even up in the second. They are a pretty young team, with only four seniors."
