Mines mascot mingles at Broomfield before hockey

Hockey fans flooded the halls of the Broomfield Event Center on Jan. 16, before the Central Hockey League All-Star Game.

CHL mascots, Rocky mascot Dinger, Rapid mascot Marco and college mascots from the Colorado School of Mines, University of Northern Colorado and Colorado State University mingled with the populace.

But the most popular guest was the Stanley Cup, as people were allowed to take pictures with and touch the hallowed piece of sports lore.
