Golden Gymnastics to hold men's gymnastics meet
Contributed by: Steve Artemis on 11/8/2006

Golden Gymnastics is hosting the annual New Level Meet of Dec. 9 at Golden Gymnastics.

What is unique about this USAG Sanctioned event is that it is designed for gymnasts who are competing either for the first time or for the first time at a new level in the Men's Artistic Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program. It is also the main fund raiser for the Ryan Keller Scholarship Fund.

The Ryan Keller Scholarship Fund was a fund set up to honor Ryan Keller, a Golden Gymnastics athlete, who was killed in an automobile accident in March 2003.

Each year Ryan's family along with Golden Gymnastics and the rest of the Colorado gymnastics community raise money for the Ryan Keller Scholarship Fund. The college scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from the state of Colorado who has participated and competed in the sport of gymnastics. Proceeds from this meet along with a silent auction and private contributions go towards this scholarship.

Steve Artemis owner and head coach of Golden Gymnastics has hosted the New Level Meet since 1990 when Steve and Jim Royce former owner of High Country Gymnastics started this concept of having a new level meet.

We look forward to seeing as many people at the meet.
Admission is $4
Times of the meets are 1:30 p.m. and at 6:15 p.m.
