The Colorado Senior Softball Association has sponsored a senior softball league for many years. It is organized into divisions based on team skill level and is open to men and women 50 years of age and older. Since the only age requirement is to be 50 or older, teams can have players as young as 50 or as old as 80 plus. Sixty-five, 70, or 80-year-olds playing against 50 -year-olds can be intimidating or even dangerous. All of the major senior softball associations now establish their divisions by age and skill level.
A new league is being formed for players 65 and older. The games will be played at Clement Park, located at Bowles Avenue and Pierce Street in Jefferson County on Thursday mornings. There are currently four teams ready to play. There are four more teams that would like to join but need additional players.
If you will be 65 or older in 2008 and would like to play in this new league, please contact
