I hope to write about anything and everything that comes into my mind, as long as it is in good taste. I hope to communicate effectively and stimulate thought and conversation. I can't wait to get started!

The hottest journalist alive!

Does anyone out there not know who Anderson Cooper is? If you don't, you are missing out. I mean, he is hot, not just in a physical sense, but in every way possible. It is undeniable that he is great eye candy; just ask any woman that is breathing. His piercing blue eyes are to die for. But there is much more to Cooper than meets the eye.

Cooper has a two-hour show on CNN entitled Anderson Cooper 360, airing from 8-10 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you have not watched his show, you should check it out. It is always informative and oftentimes entertaining.

But let me explain why I think Cooper is awesome. First, he is the best overall journalist, in my opinion, that has ever graced a television screen. I have never seen a reporter, on tv or otherwise, who is as objective as Cooper is (and I watch the news a lot). Sometimes I wonder if he has any strong opinions because they simply don't come out when he is covering an event. He is professional to the inth degree.

He is also a great writer. His recently released book, Dispatches from the Edge, left me in tears several times. I know, I know, so many things leave me in tears. But in this book, Cooper reveals his innermost being, especially when writing about his late father and brother. His father died when Cooper was ten years old and his brother killed himself when Cooper was 21.

Cooper demonstrates in so many ways that he is a deep thinker and a deep feeler, making him the ultimate male. Take a hint, guys.

Apparently there is heated debate going on regarding Cooper's sexual preference. Frankly, I have a difficult time believing that he is gay. But even if he were, it would not change the way I view him. He is an awesome reporter who cares deeply, sometimes too much, about his subject.

If I were allowed to have an idol, Anderson Cooper would be it! When I grow up, I want to be just like him.

How come you're not allowed to have an idol?

Erin, I like Anderson Cooper, too. I think he is a good journalist; I like him more than Nancy Grace, anyway.
