I just took my fifth trip to Vegas since September. I never tire of Vegas; the excitement, the heat, the casinos, the shows, the freedom. You cannot beat it. As the actress in 21 said, the greatest thing about Vegas is that you can be anyone you want to be. That is so true.
The main purpose of this trip to Vegas was to see
Elton John. I have a been a fan of his since I was 7 years old (I will not say how long that has been). Your Song was the first song I remember loving and it is still my favorite Elton John song today. My friend,
Lori and I, had great seats for his show and we had to pay a pretty penny for them, but it was the chance of a lifetime. It almost seems surreal now, as does most of the trip. Lori commented at the end of our travels together that it was her best ever trip to Vegas. I'lI have to admit, it was one of my best trips ever as well.
Much of this trip needs to stay in Vegas, in order to protect the guilty (not that I am mentioning any names, Lori). But suffice it to say that we made our mark and broke some hearts in the process.
The second night we saw Zumanity, a Cirque de Soleil show that is known for its nudity and eroticism. I had wanted to see it for years and am so glad we spent the money to see it. It was worth every penny. And that is all I have to say about that.
Lori and I also found plenty of time to lay out by the pool. We had a great champagne brunch. We visited many bars. The absolute best part of the trip was getting to know my friend more intimately, as we walked hand in hand down the Vegas strip. The more time I spend with Lori, the more I love her. And you cannot say that about too many people.
Needless to say, I cannot wait for our next girlfriend getaway to Vegas!
