HubCap: A woman in the football locker room?
Contributed by: Brendan Leonard/YourHub.com   on 9/15/2006

We know Erin DiPaolo isn't the only resident of Green Valley Ranch who can write, but she's certainly shaping up to be our favorite writer there. So far, she's posted 12 stories to the Green Valley Ranch YourHub.com Web site, and all of them have been good.

Erin always shares her travel adventures with us, complete with photos -- and we've noticed she's gone to Las Vegas not once, but twice in the past few months -- but her latest story is about some of her experiences as a female sportswriter. All of them weren't pleasant.

Sometimes she had problems with another Denver sportswriter, who seemed to think a woman was out of place covering the Broncos. The two separate incidents Erin tells about in her story kind of make me wish she had told us his name. Another time, she finally gained access to a college football locker room, like the rest of the (male) sportswriters, and wasn't exactly made to feel welcome.

What are her feelings on her career, now that she's had a while to look back on it? Read her story and find out.

Oh, and you don't have to have experience as a sportswriter to post your stories on YourHub.com. If you've been to Vegas recently, or even if you haven't, share your photos and stories here.
