Potty mouth, revisited

Well, today I posted a blog about being a potty mouth and trying to change that negative attribute about myself. So it only would be fitting that I would be challenged in this area, almost immediately after posting my blog.

As most working people do, I was looking forward to the weekend, even more so because two of my three children were going on a sleepover tonight. After dropping my boys off at Lori's house (you remember Lori, if you read my earlier blog about cussing; she does not do it, especially in front of her five children).

As I backed out of her driveway, I was smiling at her, her children, and my children, as they packed up her van, readying themselves for the trek to Aurora. Well, I was not looking behind me and --bam -- I ran into a rather nice truck with my not-so-nice mini-van. Of course, my van was not damaged in the least, but the truck...well, it was dinged up a bit.

Did I thank God? No, I did not. I hurled the f-bomb, but only silently. Does that count? Well, there were at least six kids in Lori's van, including her five, that, unfortunately for me,do read lips. I heard ooohs and aaahs as I sat in my car, misreable in so many ways.

Hopefully the situation with the owner of the truck, who is currently out of town, will turn out well. I only wish I could say the same for the situation with my potty mouth!
