The Write Words
I hope to write about anything and everything that comes into my mind, as long as it is in good taste. I hope to communicate effectively and stimulate thought and conversation. I can't wait to get started!

I am quite fond of posting stories and blog entries at
YourHub.com
. I enjoy even more seeing my writing in the printed version. It is a kick in the pants, I tell you.
Next to the excitement I experience at seeing my words in print, nothing gets me as pumped up as reading comments from fellow members of YourHub.com. My only regret is that I don't receive more. Most of those I've received have been encouraging, positive, and helpful. In this journey called life we all need as much support as we can get. I do, at least. I have gotten that at YourHub.com. I am so thankful for the community of people who work here and post here.
Though I have received a few negative comments recently, mostly due to putting myself out there regarding my unpopular conservative political views, most comments have been positive and I have taken them to heart.
Some of the most interesting comments came after I posted a blog entry about
Tupac Shakur
and my experience of getting kicked out of a book club. Regarding Tupac, I took your advice and listened to
Brenda's Got A Baby
and
Keep Ya Head Up
. I liked both of them. I have grown to admire Tupac and his voice inspires me. Wow. I never, ever thought I would feel that way. Even so, for every song I like, there is another that I end up deleting because of the expletives. I am just not as hip as some of you out there, I confess. But I continue to persevere; I have downloaded
Bow Wow
and
Chris Brown
, as well as many other hip- hop/rap artists. The kids at school are impressed.
After reading my book club blog, many encouraged me to start my own book club and to not give a second thought to the people in my last book club. I have done so; thank you!
To those of you who left judgmental or nasty comments regarding my
Hillary Clinton
,
George Bush
and IPOD blogs: I forgive you. It must be nice to be perfect, know-it-all people who have arrived at
Nirvana
. God bless you all.
However, regardless of what you think, I do not have to explain to you why I don't like Hillary or why I respect George Bush. And I resent the fact that some of you think that just because I have the opinions I have regarding these two people that I must somehow be a moron or unaware of what's going on in our world. Nothing could be further from the truth. I devour magazines and the newspaper, reading almost everything I can get my hands on. I also watch CNN and Fox every night. I just happen to hold a different viewpoint than yours and you cannot bear the thought of it. Get over yourself and get on with life. Perhaps instead of putting my posts down, you can write your own, expressing thoughts of who you admire and respect.
For those of you who have never posted comments at my blog or anyone else's, try it now. It is a source of encouragement to those of us who write. If you can, try to keep it constructive in nature, however. Remember that we are real people, just like you.

Rated Blog Entry
Erin, I'm glad you gave 2Pac another chance and at least listened to more of his songs. As you see, he did have a positive message in those two songs...his words are pretty powerful. I encourage you to go rent the movie: Tupac Resurection. It's actually very good and gives people another insight into his life. Let us know how you liked it (if you rent it)!
