I hope to write about anything and everything that comes into my mind, as long as it is in good taste. I hope to communicate effectively and stimulate thought and conversation. I can't wait to get started!

Why I love Frontier Airlines
Contributed by: Erin Di Paolo   on 7/16/2007

I have always preferred Frontier Airlines over other air carriers. For one, I have found the cheapest fares on Frontier. In addition, I have always been treated well as a customer. These days, that is a rare commodity indeed.

For years, I have wanted to work for an airline. I love to travel and make travel arrangements for others; therefore, it seemed only natural that I work for a company that helped me -- and thousands of others - achieve our travel dreams.

For just as many years my fantasy of working for Frontier has eluded me, until a few months ago. Last year I worked as a substitute teacher and, while I enjoyed it, I yearned for something more. I wanted a job for the summer, preferably part-time, while I continued to pursue my writing career.

I applied online for a job with Frontier, never expecting a call. After all, I had applied many times before and had never heard a word. But in mid-May, I got the call that changed my life. In short, after a long hiring process and a month of training, I am a General Sales agent with Frontier. In other words, I make reservations, in addition to performing numerous other customer service tasks.

I love my job. Though we are busier than one could imagine, I am passionate about seeing people realize their travel goals while also dreaming of my own. I get to talk to people, most of them amazingly pleasant and friendly, all day long. Because they fly on Frontier, they are happy, pleased, and patient with me because they have been treated well. What a joy it is to work for a company that values its passengers this much!

While I have not yet had the opportunity to take advantage of my free flight privileges, I intend to do so in the near future. For starters, I dream of taking my kids to Sea World in San Diego before the summer ends. A quick trip to Phoenix with my daughter or a jaunt to Vegas with a friend would thrill me to death. I can't wait to get on my first flight as a non-revenue, stand-by customer. My destination list grows longer by the day...Lunch on the wharf in San Francisco, a day trip to the Mall of America, the MLB All-Star Game next summer in New York City. The possibilities are endless.

But until then, I will continue to field phone calls for a company that I adored long before I worked for it. Now I have the added pleasure of loving Frontier as an employee. I look forward to a long, successful career with the best airline in the world.

And writing about all the wonderful places I will visit for Yourhub.com.

Stay tuned.

Not only do they hate their customers, but they hate their own employees. Even though I made it to the gate with 15 minutes before the flight was scheduled to leave, I was denied boarding along with an employee and his family. The employee had some of his family aboard, but the best the gate crew offered was to get a message to them advising that their family had been left behind 15 minutes prior to departure. The true measure of anything is performance when things go wrong. Frontier fell down this day.
