I hope to write about anything and everything that comes into my mind, as long as it is in good taste. I hope to communicate effectively and stimulate thought and conversation. I can't wait to get started!

Loving Frontier more
Contributed by: Erin Di Paolo   on 8/7/2007

I didn't think it was possible, but I now love my favorite airline, Frontier, more than ever. Several weeks ago I wrote about why I love Frontier. Not only does it offer the lowest airfares and greatest customer service, it also pays my bills. You see, I work for Frontier Airlines, though oftentimes it feels less like work and more like play. Though we all work hard, it is so darn fun. Really, it is.

Shortly after I began working at Frontier, a friend of mine, who also works at Frontier, told me that after I took my first free trip, I would be hooked for life. I had no doubt that what she said was true. After all, free and trip are two of my favorite things. Combine them and I am sold.

What she said was indeed true - and profound. My kids and I traveled to San Antonio last week with no problems. All of the horror stories I was told by people who fly stand-by on OTHER airlines did not come to pass on Frontier. In fact, every aspect of our trip was spectacular, which is exactly what I hoped for. We were treated well and accommodated at every point of our journey, from the ticket counter to the gate to the plane. The flights were two of the smoothest I have been on in a long time. Our pilots rock!

When I returned to work after my globetrotting, my supervisor asked how my trip was. I was so excited that she couldn't help but share in the joy. I told her now that I had flown my first non-rev flight, I was even more commited to the company I work for. I want to work as hard as I can to make it more of a success.

While I was in training, there were several people in my class that had worked for other airlines. All of them said the same thing, something I seriously questioned at the time. They said that once you have worked in the airline industry, it gets in your blood. I don't understand why, but it is true.

So I walk around, proud to bear my Frontier badge. And proud to tell others I work for the greatest airline in the world. I mean, how lucky can a person be?

Sue me, if you want, but I adore my job. And I now love Frontier more than before.
