The Christmas fun
Contributed by: Allie Di Paolo on 9/14/2006

Although my family celebrates many holidays, Christmas is our favorite.

On Christmas morning, Joseph and James came in my room. All three of us started to play on my Nintendo 64. It took absolutely forever for my parents to wake up. When we were waiting we had butterflies in our tummies. It was Christmas.

A few minutes later, my brothers and I got tired of waiting for my parents to wake up, so we went downstairs and started to decorate. My brother James made sure the lights were not burned out and hung them up on the tree. Joseph put up a colorful Santa Claus. I put up the fake flowers. The flowers are purple, blue, pink, and green, all of my family's favorite colors. Then we did much more decorating. Finally, my mom and dad woke up. Joseph, James and I hid. When they got to the bottom of the stairs we jumped out and suprised them. "Everything is decorated," my mom shouted. They couldn't believe their eyes.

"Who wants waffles and bacon?," my mom asked. "Me!!!"everyone shouted.

Hours went by and it was finally time to open presents. Everyone was so jumpy. Dad grabbed the video camera and taped us. I gotseven presents. Joseph got five. James got six. Joseph, James, and I all got mom and dad one huge present.

At 10 p.m., we all went to bed and I was thinking this was the best Christmas ever. I think everyone else was thinking the same thing.
