Well-known Denver basketball family b-ball clinic

Montbello High School coach David Carey and his basketball team, will lead drills in a basketball clinic for over 200 at risk youth this Wednesday and Thursday, January 2nd and 3rd at the Montbello Recreation Center. Seven-time CHSAA Basketball Championship Coach, Rudy Carey and Denver Nuggets PA Announcer Kyle Speller will address clinic participants about career options in sports.

The clinic, open to boys and girls from ages 9 to 14, will focus on the fundamentals of the game of basketball (defense, dribbling, shooting and rebounding). Sportsmanship, life skills and career options will also be addressed. The clinic will end with a three-point shootout on Wednesday and a Slam Dunk contest (rims lowered to 6 feet) on Thursday.
