Description:
The Fine Arts Series of Littleton United Methodist Church will sponsor a free concert by the world-renowned Moscow String Quartet.The concert will feature the music of Haydn, Beethoven and Shostakovich.
One of the most famous musical ensembles to emerge from Russia, the Moscow String Quartet is comprised of violinists Eugenia Alikhanova and Galina Kokhanovskaia, violist Tatiana Kokhanovskaia and cellist Olga Ogranovitch.Each of the members of the quartet is a graduate of the two leading conservatories--the Moscow Conservatory and the Gnessin Music Institute.
The Moscow String Quartet has won numerous international competitions and grand prizes for its performances in both classical and contemporary music, and has played in the world's most prestigious concert halls.
All are welcome at this free concert. Doors open at 7 p.m.
