Cherry Creek Schools honor grad Brad Lidge

The Cherry Creek Schools Foundation awarded the first-ever 'All Star Alumni Award' to Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Brad Lidge before the Rockies-Phillies game at Coors Field on April 11. A 1995 graduate of Cherry Creek High School, Lidge was honored for his success on and off the field and his support of young players in the off season.

Lidge signed autographs for members of the CCHS freshman team, and showed them his 2008 World Series Championship ring. He also reminisced with CCHS principal, Dr. Kathy Smith, and his Creek coach, Marc Johnson, who is still the CCHS baseball coach.
