More than 1200 business and career women gathered at the Colorado Convention Center on Tuesday, October 17 th for the 9 th Annual Women's Success Forum. The event is put on each year by the Women's Vision Foundation, a think tank organization for women's leadership and management.
The event featured keynotes: Bertice Berry, a sociologist, author and talk show host; Marie Wilson, founder of The White House Project and Take Your Daughters to Work Day; and Jana Stanfield, a national recording artist and transformational speaker. Also, featured were breakout sessions and workshops for everything from career pathing to Lessons from the Ladder hosted by prominent Denver metro area CEO's.
A tribute luncheon was held to recognize four corporate change agents all honored for helping advance women's leadership in their organizations. Awardees were Victor Gulas with MWH Global, Erica Hausfeld with Agilent Technologies, CH2M Hill and Shelly Swanback with Accenture. Also, three college scholarships were presented in a partnership with the Denver University's Women's College to Violina Mitovska, Nicole Taylor and Jennifer Killion.
The event concluded with a reception hosted by Coors at which attendees were entered into a drawing for a diamond necklace, airline tickets, Coach hand bags and much more more.
