May 28 Seminar on IRAs and Real Estate
Contributed by: Laurie Anderson on 5/22/2008

Three local financial and real estate experts will present a free seminar on Wednesday, May 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Koelbel Library, 5955 S. Holly St. (southwest corner of Orchard & Holly) in Greenwood Village.

"IRA Wealth-Revolutionary Strategies for Real Estate Investment" will focus on self-directed Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and ways to invest in real estate using an IRA. Seminar presenters include Pete Nemeth, Associate Real Estate Broker with Keller Williams Executives in Highlands Ranch; Michael McNamara of Brentwood Equity Advisors, Inc., founder of the "Wealth Without Wall Street" e-book and seminar/webinar series; and Rob Gremminger, Austin Financial Consulting LLC, a CPA and licensed mortgage broker.

"As an independent financial advisor, I can provide a unique and creative perspective on how to protect and grow financial assets," explains McNamara. "Some of the many topics we will cover in the seminar include the advantages of using debt financing to buy real estate within an IRA, non-recourse loans and how you can use them to buy real estate in an IRA, eligible property types, and IRS rules regarding allowed and prohibited transactions. You will learn the in's and out's at our free seminar so that you can make informed investment decisions with built-in tax advantages."

In this seminar, attendees will learn how to invest their IRAs in real estate products like raw land, rental houses, apartment buildings and land development. "You can control your own financial destiny by using a program available to anyone with an IRA, 401(k), Solo(K) or SEP that will enable you to invest in real estate and real estate related products and grow your money in a truly secure manner," McNamara continues. "This is essential when stocks and bonds can't solely be relied upon to help you achieve your retirement goals.

"Whether your time horizon until retirement is less than 10 years away or more than 30 years from now, we can help you overcome the limits of traditional investment choices provided by your IRA or 401(k) plan administrator," McNamara explains. "Your IRA can be become self-directed, providing you with more choices than simply the investment firm's 'family of funds.' You might be surprised to learn that your employer's 401(k) plan may have a feature allowing you to invest outside the standard menu of company stock and mutual fund choices. And, if you've left a former employer, but never rolled those dormant 401(k) funds into your own self-directed account, now is the time to seize control and do something different to achieve greater returns. After all, you left that company so why keep your retirement assets under their control?"

The seminar is free, but seating is limited so please RSVP as soon as possible by calling Rob Gremminger at (303) 954-0699 or emailing Pete Nemeth at pnemeth@kw.com.
