MAN STEALS PURSES AT BAR
Greenwood Village Police responded to a report of theft at the Purple Martini, 8000 E. Belleview Ave., at 1:17 a.m. April 27. The bar's manager told officers that a man was found in the bathroom with a woman's purse. Police asked the man why he had a purse and the man said he was holding it for "his girl." Police searched the man and found five cell phones, several sets of keys, cash and several ID's that did not belong to him. One of the officers arrested the man, and while he was in the back of the patrol car he told the officer he had stolen several purses at the bar. The man was booked into the Arapahoe County detention facility.

FOX HIT BY CAR
A Greenwood Village Police officer was sent to the intersection of East Orchard Road and South Holly Street on a report of a fox being hit by a car at 5:32 a.m. April 24. The officer took the fox to a 24-hour veterinary hospital and the vet determined the fox could not be saved and euthanized the animal.

MARIJUANA USE REPORTED AT HOTEL
Greenwood Village Police were sent to the Sheraton Hotel at 7007 S. Clinton St. at 3:57 a.m. on a report of drug use. The night manager of the hotel told the officers he was doing a routine sweep of the hotel and could smell a strong smell of marijuana coming from one of the rooms on the fourth floor. Police went to the room and spoke to the occupant who consented to a search. The officer found a small amount of marijuana in the room, confiscated it and left the occupant with a warning.

EGGS AND TOILET PAPER FOUND
A Greenwood Village Police officer was on a routine patrol April 26 when he noticed a large item in the parking lot of Hope United Methodist Church, 5101 S. Dayton St., at midnight. The officer found two crates of raw eggs and two large packages of toilet paper in the parking lot. Due to the fact several houses in the neighborhood have been "egged" and "toilet papered" recently, the officer disposed of the items.
