A woman told a Greenwood Village Police officer that a man approached her daughter, who was sitting in a car on the 7000 block of East Arapahoe Road, at 10 a.m. June 27. The man told the girl that he needed money because his wife was pregnant. The man showed the girl his military I.D. and the girl gave the man $80. The man said he would meet the girl at 1 p.m. in the same spot to pay her back. The girl returned to the spot at 1 p.m., however, the man did not show up.

MAN REQUESTS MONEY FROM WOMAN
A woman told a Greenwood Village Police officer she was sitting in the parking lot of Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, 7520 E. Progress Place at noon on July 6 when a man approached her and told her his wife was pregnant and he needed $120. The man offered to show the woman his military I.D., but the woman did not take him up on the offer. The woman gave the man $79 and offered him a ride to the intersection of East Belleview Avenue and South Ulster Street. While en route, the man asked the woman if she could make a stop at an ATM machine to get him some more money. The woman told the man she did not use ATMs and did not have any more money. The woman dropped the man off without incident.

COUPLE ASSAULTED AT JOURNEY CONCERT
A woman came into the Greenwood Village Police station at 6060 S. Quebec St. on July 14 to pick up a copy of a police report. The report stated that on July 9 she and her husband were assaulted by a group of men at a Journey concert at Fiddler's Green. The officer issuing the report asked the woman what happened and the woman told her she and her husband were in the club level when some men began jumping over seats and became rowdy. The woman said her husband asked the men to calm down and they punched him in the mouth and threw her to the ground. The woman said she and her husband were treated at the first aid tent. Greenwood Village Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
