Our thanks to the voters of Greenwood Village
Contributed by: Irv Zwick on 11/3/2005

Letter to the Editor,

On behalf of the residents of Huntington Pines, Beacon Hill and Huntington Park, I would like to thank the Voters of Greenwood Village for approving our annexation. The Greenwood Village “Ballot Question 2A” passed with an overwhelming 74% yes votes. The merit for this victory goes to the devoted residents from all three neighborhoods that have generously contributed their time and money to make this a success. This has been a collaborative effort for more than two and a half years, and there are so many people to thank. I would like to recognize Bette Todd and Ken Meulemans for their endless devotion of time and effort. Many thanks to the wonderful citizens, business leaders, and to the current and prior council members that rallied to support us. We appreciate all of the help we received from The Villager and The Denver Post in getting our message to the voters. We look forward to proudly changing our return address labels, stationary and business cards to read “Greenwood Village.”

Respectfully,

Irv Zwick, President of Beacon Hill Homeowners Association and Spokesperson for the Citizens for Maplewood AvenueAnnexation.
