Halloween's coming and the trick is on me

Halloween is my favorite time of year. Costumes, parties, candy bars....
Do I need say more? I just love the feel of warming up my ice cold hands with a big, fat Hersheys bar. I knew chocalate could answer some of life's great mysteries, but who knew it could be used to defrost my fingers while trick-or-treating with the kids.
One thing I have realized about my friend the Hershey bar is that the trick is on me this year. I spend my time teaching people how to exercise and eat healthy, then look at me looking forward, contemplating my Halloween feast of mini candy bars.
As a good, responsible parent, I've implemented the "no eating the candy until I check it" rule, but my kids are getting sick of eating candy bars missing the right corner. I've also tried to curb my desire by wearing my own face mask during our trek around the neighborhood, but only end up with a chocalate smile around the make shift mouth that started out as an evil grimace. What to do...
This year I've decided to take a stand against the trick of Halloween. I will wear gloves instead of using the friction of the Hershey wrapper. I will call one of my clients when I have the urge to purge (I am accountable to them as they are to me), and I will tell my husband that for every scrumptious candy bar I put in my mouth, he gets to play his computer for an hour..... that might just be the key to my success.
That and my hips....

Great story, Lynda. Good luck working on the tricks and the treats this year. Be sure to post some Halloween costume photos for us.
