We took Prahlad to his 2-month checkup May 16. He now weighs 12 pounds 6 ounces and is 23 ½ inches long. His head measures 15 ½ inches. No additional medical news to report now, other than he is doing just great.

Newest milestone: Prahlad rolled over for the first time May 8! That's pretty amazing, considering I've read that most babies generally don't roll over until their forth month, on average. We had him doing some "tummy time" on a quilt on the floor. I looked over at him and he was sort of resting on his arm. I look away for a second, and, when I looked back, he was completely on his back! He hasn't done it since, though.

He held his first toy, a wooden rattle, on his own May 14, his 2-month-old birthday.

And he has a new hobby: thumb sucking. He's been sucking his thumb for a couple weeks now, and sucks himself to sleep. It's so cute!

He is still smiling like crazy. Every morning, I try to get at least one smile out of him before I have to leave for the day. Every once in a while we'll get a tiny laugh out of him. He is becoming more and more vocal every day.

Prahlad at 1 month

Prahlad's first two weeks
