Listening to my favorite news/talk station here in the Denver area, I hear lots of stories about the subprime mortage mess. Stories about foreclosed homes, thousands of them. Deserted homes, left in a real mess.
And about people crying out for help from the government to help them pay for something they shouldn't have done in the first place. All sorts of mortage crisis hotlines are being set up.
But what really disturbs me is what I've been hearing during the commercial breaks. Advertisements from mortage lenders offering money to people who have "less than perfect credit" and "introductory rates."
These ads tell people who haven't been able to qualify for loans elsewhere to contact some of these companies. They'll get you the money.
Isn't this how we got into this mess in the first place? So look for Mortgage Mess 2.0 coming soon.
