A political pundit said most of us live life between the 40 yard lines. I'm one of them. Most of the time. Sometimes I'm right of center, sometimes the other way around.

Friday beefs and bouquets

We kick things off with a big howdy to all my friends in the Wet Mountain Valley. We open our cabin this weekend and look forward to watching plenty of sunsets over the Sangre de Cristo Range plus dinner at Pizza Madness.

Another huge bouquet and a major studio deal to my friend Mike Olafson. His documentary "Gears, Grease and Guitars" premieres Saturday night at the Oriental. It's a film about the history of hotrodding and rockabilly here in Denver. I had the opportunity to watch some of the film in production and it promises to be as exciting as the subject. Congrats Mike!

But a beef and a muzzle to Rush Limbaugh and all the other radio nuts on both sides of the spectrum. Riots in Denver? Lighten up dude, your poop stinks just like everyone else. Actually more.

We will however toss in a belly laugh to the folks organizing the DNC. They're holding all these "green" seminars for people hosting free booze and food parties for delegates so they're all environmentally correct. Having covered conventions, and delegations from many states, they could care less about green. They're here to party, drink and eat for free.

A bouquet and a few more tweeks to the line-up and bull-pen to the Colorado Rockies. April is just an extension of spring training. August and September is where the rubber hits the road.

Another beef plus a bag of rice to any and all people managing our farm programs. We're even rationing food here in the United States. Sam's Club limits you to just one 20 pound bag of rice. The cost of corn and corn products are sky rocketing due to the ethanol scam, plus the rediculous subsidies paid to the farmers to grow food for gas tanks, and not our stomachs. Idiots.

A bouquet to a lady I pass each day to work. She has a German Shepherd, it has some sort of injury to its rear legs and she's rigged a little carrier with wheels to support the dog's back end while it still walks with its front legs. She's a lady who obviously loves her pal and both start my day with a smile when I see them.

Finally a shout out to our friends from the 4th ID at FOP Falcon, thanks as always to the gang at OB68, Red, Alan, Weldon and or course our loyal and supportive sponsors at Canadian Widget.

Have a great weekend ya'll.
