A political pundit said most of us live life between the 40 yard lines. I'm one of them. Most of the time. Sometimes I'm right of center, sometimes the other way around.

Pickens for President

T. Boone Pickens has a better idea and he's spending half a billion dollars of his own money to promote it.

Windpower, natural gas and other alternative energy.

Nothing new there, politicians have been blathering on about it since the Arab Oil Embargo in the 1970's. They've accomplished absolutely nothing.

The difference is people like T. Boone Pickens, toughened by experience in the real world know how to get things done. (Even if Pickens is an OSU guy-nobody's perfect.)

Our GopDem government doesn't. It isn't remotely perfect. In fact, it's awful.

So to leaders of both parties, please get the hell out of the way and make room for people who can accomplish something. In fact, just stay home for a couple of years and we'll solve it for you.

Pickens of course, won't run for President. He's to smart for that sort of thing.

Saturday memo:
RIP to former FOX Newscaster and White House Press Secretary Tony Snow who died today at age 53. He fought a valiant battle against colon cancer. I had a chance to work with Tony in connection with the Wounded Warrior Project.

Simply put, Tony was the definition of a classy guy and human being. He's in a good place today.
