A political pundit said most of us live life between the 40 yard lines. I'm one of them. Most of the time. Sometimes I'm right of center, sometimes the other way around.

Random Sunday stuff

Kudos to Susan Greene of the Denver Post. Hope you had a chance to read her column on the growing polygamist sect Colorado. We have a home a few miles from one of their compounds in Westcliffe CO.

My calls and e-mails to Custer County Commissioners, Sheriff Jobe and Rep. John Salazar have all been ignored.

Which makes them cowards of the worst kind.

I see that Jesse Jackson is in town today. Sure hope he's not carrying anything sharp. I'd keep my distance just to be sure. Nuts are a horrible thing to lose.

*Expletive* Cancer. We'll be dealing with that a lot in future blogs.

The planned Veteran's Memorial here in Highlands Ranch is short a hundred grand to get it built. We've procrastinated buying two blocks for my wife's dad and my dad. (Navy and Air Force) We'll get the order in soon.

What do China and DNC organizers have in common? Menu changes. Apparently delegates coming to Denver will be allowed to eat fried foods after all. But in China, dog meat is off all menus during the Olympic Games. I'm guessing you'll still be able to eat cat meat.

Is anyone locally getting in on the cash bonanza promised by by Democratic Convention Organizers? I'll bet you a campaign button that far more business and contracts are going out of state than in state.

Did you know the podium is being designed by a Las Vegas Company?

I hope local media do stories on people who have actually been able to rent homes to attendees, protesters, etc. Is there a windfall or was it just so much wind blown up our butts?

I feel a breeze.

The markets open again tomorrow. Gird your loins.

That's all.
