Our first bouquet goes to my fellow citizens of Custer County in south-central Colorado for
beginning to take on the Warren Jeffs polygamist cult. Looks like Sheriff Jobe and his deputies are also starting to smell the stink.
A huge chunk of beef fresh from the dumpster and the first annual Beefs and Bouquets Hypocracy award to the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. As you know, they're taking part in a program to effectively
sweep the city's homless under the rug during the DNC.
"If anything, we're trying to educate the homeless population on what is available, what entertainment they can go to, you know, how they can be involved as well," said Denver Rescue Mission's Greta Walker.
Thank you Greta for great blog material, but certainly nothing remotely resembling the truth.
Gee I hate to start out with all this beef, but Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid deserve a beef plus having to pump their own gas for their
continued opposition to drilling off our coasts. Pelosi is worried about oil spills. Hey Nancy, 61% of oil in the water comes from natural seepage, whether we drill or not. 1% comes from the odd spill. As for Harry Reid, he representsNevada (certainly not me) a state that makes it's living off sin. Gambling, prostitution and other fun stuff. Both Pelosi and Reid are poster children for term limits. But why should they worry? Both get driven around DC in fancy cars with full tanks of gas. And we're the one's paying for it all. I have two words for both and they most assuredly aren't "good luck."
We'll toss out a bouquet plus a big "HOWDY" to Cheyenne Frontier Days,
The Daddy of 'em All which comes out of the chutes tonight. It you've never been up to old Cheyenne, do so. For those of you who've made the trip to Frontier Days, we don't need to convince you to go again. They've been having fun for well over a hundred years. Let 'er buck!
Another bouquet goes to my fellow hyper milers. Life in the right lane isn't so bad is it? More and more of you are slowing down, coasting when you can and saving a few gallons of gas each week.
A bouquet of yellow roses from TEXAS goes out to T. Boone Pickens. Even though he roots for OSU.
HOOK'EM anyways Mr. Pickens for taking the bull (not Bevo) by the horns when it comes to alternative energy. Our GopDem government can only make speeches and hold hearings, private enterprise will act and find solutions.
A bouquet and my deepest sympathy to all of you who are about to learn you are actually weathy if Obama takes office. You may think you're just getting by. A Democrat in the White House along with Nancy and Harry down the road on Pennsylvania Avenue will think different.
Friday Memo:
This whole mess with
Brett Favre and the Packers is as painful to watch as the divorce between Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards. Packertown isn't Tinseltown. Oh jeez hey.
How about saving a life?
One final request to check out
Bonfils Blood Centers. There are lots of ways to give, all take little time and in most cases you'll save a life.
As always, a big shout out to everyone at FOP Falcon, especially to Chris about to head home on leave to see his new baby boy. Plus the gang at OB68, GO BOMBERS!
Have a great weekend ya'll.
