A political pundit said most of us live life between the 40 yard lines. I'm one of them. Most of the time. Sometimes I'm right of center, sometimes the other way around.

Bennet's caught between a rock and a rock.

Here's why pretend Senator Michael Bennet will be a one-time unelected partial term wonder.

The "Employee Free Choice" act. This piece of legislation, arguably the most dangerous ever presented in our country's history will take away a special and unique right here in America, the private ballot.

Read more about it here.

Bennet hasn't taken a position on the bill yet. Bennet hasn't taken a position on anything yet. Doing nothing gets you ahead in Washington.

But the Employee Free Choice Act will be his political Waterloo.

Support it and he loses the support of American Business.

Vote "NO" and he loses the support of American Labor.

Hope you didn't sign a long term lease Senator. You'll be home soon.

Maybe Governor Hickenlooper will give you a job.

As the Denver Post reports today, Bennet met with Supreme Court nominee Sotomayor for 25 minutes and he endorse her, yet he is still neutral after 5 months of pondering the delicate, sensitive, excrutiatingly complicated, issue of whether to have a free, private, vote, or not. With decision-making talent like his, perhaps he too should be a nominee to the Supreme Court.
