A political pundit said most of us live life between the 40 yard lines. I'm one of them. Most of the time. Sometimes I'm right of center, sometimes the other way around.

It's the perception, stupid

Most of you know that Governor "Let's Make a Deal" Ritter pawned off a sweet legal gig to his former law firm. A "No Bid" deal by the way.

Hogan & Hartson has already received $40 thousand of our dollars to handle "Shovel Ready" projects. The political tone-deafness of this is beyond the pale.

But the real insult to our intelligence comes from one of Ritter's flacks, Myung Oak Kim.

She tries to somehow make a difference between Federal Tax Dollars being used for this monumental boondoggle instead of State Tax Dollars.

A dollar is a dollar and my paycheck has both Federal and State taxes taken off.

Ms. Kim, the source of the dollar makes no difference. The use of that tax dollar does.

No amount of spin is gong to change the fact that Governor Ritter used our money to create a sweetheart deal for his old buddies, plus hire a bunch of new employees when others are being furloughed.

There's a word for it. INEPT.
