State and local leaders are making tough decisions. Budgets need to be balanced and some decisions could have both short and long term implications.
3000 prisoners are being released about 6 months earlier than their scheduled parole dates. Pedophles, crooks, pimps, dope dealers, gang members, etc. As most will likely repeat their crimes, more work for law enforcement.
Uh-oh. In Denver alone 90 cops are being cut from the budget. Denver isn't alone.
More crooks., less cops. A toxic mess.
Plus keep in mind that's 3000 new people looking for jobs, unlikely to find them because their cons. So guess what? We'll end up supporting them.
Saving money to spend money. More crooks and less enforcement.
This is the result when government never spent time controlling costs in the first place.
Let's hope, make that pray, that lessons have been learned.
