Simple Can Be Best
There are moments in someone's life that just shouldn't be kept to themselves, rather shared with others for knowledge, wisdom, peace of mind or just a good laugh. I have experienced many things, yet still have a lot of living to do. But for now, these are my stories, a peek inside a life well lived so far - because simple can sometimes be best.

I am time,
withered away, tainted and tarnished,
yet nourished by pale white skin, red
from summer sun, I find my peace.
I am scripted wisdom
written in black ink,
cemented like concrete, baked to congeal
personified exposure to my un-scripted life.
I am unfinished,
molding like hot dripping beeswax, color-dyed clay
re-shaping, re-defining in search for perfection.
I am yearning,
for erudition, books scattered, dusty, torn dictionaries, pages
yellowed from fading sun, words jumbled, I am writing.
I am new and old love,
rusted and polished I shine, hazel eyes, hair auburn red; I am beauty.
I am grace,
mounted on wooden pink toe shoes - floating, the wind rushing through
skinny wheels - roller skating till dark -
I am silhouetted on a backdrop of blue sky lit by the sunset.
I feel remembrance of the past, bleached by the future,
I continue to walk, heels cracked, sand between my toes
on a dusty trail of uncertainties, calling my name -
I am alive.

Thank you Steve! I'm sorry I have not had a chance to write until now. I will be better at it, as I have missed writing too.
