Friday Beefs and Bouquets **New Bonus Feature**
Contributed by: Brian Olson   on 5/2/2008

We start out with huge bouquets and best wishes to Jay Cutler of the Broncos and Troy Tulowitzki of the Rockies. Cutler has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, Tulo is out with a torn tendon and won't be back until the All Star Break.

I've met Jay a couple of times working with a local youth organization. A classy kid and I doubt he'll let this stop him. Troy, this is one of those types of seasons where you find out what kind of character and grit you have. See you on the field soon.

But a beef plus a copy of any and all books about team work, especially those written by Vince Lombardi to the Nuggets and Avs. We might have to re-name Denver, O'ferville. And that 0-4 performance string extends back to the ROX/SOX World Series. But in the case of the Nuggets and Avs, management thought bringing in a couple of big name players makes the difference. Once it again we see proof it doesn't. TEAMWORK guys.

A bouquet plus a gifit certificate to the UT-Austin Co-op to Kevin Durantfor being named NBA Rookie of the Year. He joins another former Longhorn, Vince Young who also won NFL Rookie of the Year honors after his first season with the Titans. HOOK'EM!

We'll send a bouquet along with more goody boxes tothe troops at FOP Falcon. Reading between the lines of their e-mails to us they're having a bit of a tough time of it. Me and my colleagues at the Video Professor Seasons Club are all with you. And thanks for volunteering to fight so we can be free. More boxes are on the way to you shortly.

Another beef plus one-way tickets to Beijing go to everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Roseanne Barr who seem to want to stir it up at the DNC this summer. They're actually endorsing rioting. We have a few shreds of beef for someof the protesters coming who complain they might be tossed in jail for breaking the law here in the mile high and green for a week city.

We'll extend a tentative bouquet to law enforcement in advance if they actually do toss hooligans into the hoosegow. Take a page from Maricopa County Sherrif Joe Arpaio and build tent jails for these yahoos. Protest is cool. Breaking the law isn't. Nothing like trying to cool your heels in a hot tent in August.

A final beef to Home Depot. We've been there twice the past couple of weeks. First trip was for carpeting. We were told we'd have to wait 4-6 weeks. A second trip for a small valve for our sprinker system found them out of stock. S'up with that? We found both carpeting and the valve at other stores, both in-stock and nearby.

And a heart-felt bouquet to my friend and colleague R.J. Shubert who is recovering nicely from surgery this week. See you back at the office soon my friend.

Finally, our new feature:

SITE O' THE WEEK! McDonald's is launching a new chicken sandwich/biscuit with this fun site. It's great fun.

Thanks as always to the gang at OB68, Weldon Smoothly and the Homeward Hustle crew and of course our continued appreciation for our sponsors at Canadian Widget.

Have a great weekend ya'll.
