Blog Entry 132 of 194 I blog, therefore I am.
Politics to life in general, a view from a slightly right of center/off-kilter guy.

Reporting from Lake Wobegone (Almost)
Contributed by: Brian Olson   on 5/4/2008

Dateline Mankato, MN
We're in Mankato, MN this weekend for a confirmation ceremony for a family member. It was at a Lutheran Church of course, this being Minnesota. Although they didn't serve coffee after the service and I'm going to complain to Garrison Keillor as soon as we get back to Colorado.

Lutherans drink coffee after services, everybody knows that.

We haven't watched ANY TV this weekend, because we've been having such a wonderful time catching up with family and spending the day at my sister's place on Lake Washington outside of Mankato, which I bet is at least as nice as Lake Wobegone.

But we have listened to the news on the radio and it's such a hoot to hear about Hillary knocking President Bush for "saber rattling" while at the same time threatening to bomb the cr*p out of Iran if they as much as sneeze in the direction of Israel.

Even Barack Obama is getting into the act. And of course, both want to begin pulling troops out of Iraq within seconds of taking the oath of office.

War and Peace. Together again.

What hoo-ha. Only these two can talk out three sides of their mouth.

So we're heading home to Colorado Monday morning, then to Georgia Thursday night for a long weekend in Savannah, GA. In between the two trips we'll see what happens in Indiana and North Carolina.
