Politics to life in general, a view from a slightly right of center/off-kilter guy.

Friday Beefs and Bouquets
Contributed by: Brian Olson   on 5/16/2008

Talkin' 'bout baseball, a bouquet to the San Diego Padres. If it weren't for them the Rox would be in last place in the division.

Another bouquet goes out today to President Bush for his speech in Israel warning about appeasing terrorists.

Abeef plus a couple of extra layers of skin to Barack Obama for thinking he was the target of the message. Hey Barack, you're the one who said you'd meet with the worst of the worst in world leaders without condition.

That said, a beef to all those whining about Obama calling a female reporter "sweetie"during a campaign swing through Michigan. Let's get real and keep our eyes on the ball folks.

Another beef plus a copy of Wall Street to the realtorswho arranged for that polygamist cult buying $2 million in real estate in Custer County, CO allowing this group of perverts and child sex predators to establish a foothold in Colorado.

Another beef plus a copy of Profiles in Courage to the Custer County Commissioners who seem to be be doing nothing to keep this from happening. I have phone calls into all three, none have returned my calls. I own a home in Custer County!

A bouquet to the Denver Post's Al Lewis. No one knows business reporting and how the shenanigans in the board room impact us here on Main Steet.

A conditional bouquet to anyone who helps raise the needed cash to put on the DNC Nigerian Scam. If you don't, the tax payers will. Despite promises otherwise. Never believe a politician.

A conditional beef to Frontier Airlines. You remain my first choice for travel, but sticking my kids with those "take or leave it" schedule and fare changes sucks. Plus the TV didn't work on the way back from Atlanta on Monday. This ain't the time to p*ss of customers.

A beef to the California Supreme Court for ok'ing same sex marriages even when the population of the state says no.

And a final beef to the producers and writers of Grey's Anatomy. The characters are getting more boring, self-centeredand neurotic every week. Enough already.

Site o' the week.Just plain fun and goofy stuff to play with when you're bored.

Finally a shout out to our guys at FOP Falcon, thanks as always to the gang at OB68, especially to the Cat Lady and Red Alex and of course, our loyal sponsors at Canadian Widget.
