Blog Entry 11 of 100 Charmaine in the city

I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. And once in a while, I'll throw in a music, movie or food review. I hope to keep this blog interactive, so don't be shy to suggest places I should visit. And check it out: I'm on Brendan's List. Rock on!

Exercise your right to vote
Contributed by: Charmaine Robledo/YourHub.com   on 8/23/2006

It's election time in Douglas County! The 2006 Primary Election was held on Aug. 8 and YourHub.com recently acquired a list of results for candidates. Check out who won by clicking here. Beginning September, we'll be running profiles of all the candidates running for office both online and in print. Be sure to watch for these in the upcoming weeks.

Election season is a very important time for me because I became an American citizen in 2003. So I was able to exercise my right to vote in the 2004 election. I was very proud of being able to participate in the voting process and I believe all of us should at least be informed of what's happening in our county and around the state. So be sure to keep checking back with us for information on voting centers, absentee ballots and who to contact.

Get a head start by going to the Douglas County Clerk and Recorder's Web site.

Also visit the Web sites for the Douglas County Democrats and Republicans.

Happy political hunting.
